An early version of Talk About Touch, shown above, was
written in 1985. It was a four-page publication printed on card stock, authored by Sandy Kleven, following the example
of her first book, then titled, Touching. The early version had a long, productive life, thousands
of copies were distributed in Alaska but not less than a picture book can really hold the attention of young children. Kleven
was determined from the start, to publish the story as a full-color, illustrated childrens' book. The big break for Talk
About Touch, came in January of 2011, when Patrick Minock stepped up as illustrator. His work had the charm and
authenticity needed to bring the work to life.
